Hazel Grace is a Happy Baby

One of my favorite subjects to photograph is baby Hazel Grace. Yesterday, she was all smiles and so excited to show me what tricks she had learned.  She is such a cutie pie!

Deer Tick returns to Boise

On June 20th. a friend of our’s, John McCauley of  Deer Tick rolled back into Boise for another incredible and fun-filled night. Deer Tick first performed at the Record Exchange and then to a packed audience at the Neurolux. Over the years, Travis and I have been telling friends, strangers, and just about anyone who would listen about John McCauley. I couldn’t help but to feel a bit of pride as I stood by the side of the stage and watched all the screaming fans cry out for more. With up coming performances scheduled for Jimmy Kimmel and Saturday Night Live, he sure has come a long way since the first time we met him and saw him perform in a little Nampa coffee shop in 2006.

Dickie’s Promo Shoot

Awhile back, Dickie’s clothing company contacted me about doing a promo shoot. There would be a display set up in a parking lot and I would have to take pictures of people interacting with the games and stuff they had on display. That sounded simple enough except that it was miserably hot. Thank God that the set up was there was there for more than one day. After the first day of no one to photograph due to the heat, I came home bummed out. My husband, being the bright one in our family, got on Facebook and sent out a casting call to our friends for the next day. To my surprise a good number of our friends showed up and supported me. I’ve got the best friends in the world!
A big thanks to all my friends! – April                             52 copy

Soon to be a Family!

Brian and Courtney contacted me about taking some engagement pictures and some of her son in their backyard. Little Cody hadn’t had his pictures taken in a few years. They had some bad experiences in the past. I could tell she was a little concerned about me taking his pictures. As I was aware of this, I made sure not to begin the photo shoot until I could tell Cody was comfortable with me and happy. It didn’t take long for him to warm up to the camera. I think now he is ready to start modeling.

One Happy Family

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of photographing this lovely family. Emmy is a returning client that is always a joy to work with. She is an artist and always comes up with great suggestions.
We did this shoot out in the country at her parent’s farm. I was in heaven. Not just with my beautiful surroundings but when I walked in the house there were all these cool antiques I was able to use as props. That place was a photographer’s dream.
I couldn’t go wrong on this photo shoot; great weather, great location and great people!
